Frozen broad beans

Frozen broad beans, also known as frozen fava beans, are a high-quality quick-frozen vegetable made from fresh, tender broad

beans. Broad beans are typically harvested from late spring to early summer when the pods are plump and the beans are fresh

and vibrant green. Processing immediately after harvesting locks in the natural flavor, nutrients, and color, overcoming the

seasonal limitations of fresh broad beans.

The processing follows standard industrial steps. First, fresh broad beans are harvested and rigorously screened to remove

damaged and overripe pods. Then, after shelling, washing, and manual selection, clean, high-quality beans are obtained.

Next, they are blanched in hot water to kill enzymes andprevent browning, then quickly cooled in ice water and drained.

Afterward, the broad beans are individually quick-frozen in an ultra-low temperature freezer. Finally, they are screened again,

packaged, and stored at -18 degrees Celsius for long-term preservation.

Frozen broad beans have a wide range of uses. In home cooking, they can be stir-fried with meat and eggs, or used in soups,

porridge, and mixed vegetable dishes. In catering and central kitchens, they are widely used in classic dishes and pre-prepared

foods to ensure consistent flavor and year-round availability In the food industry, they are used to produce canned beans,

snacks, fillings, and frozen mixed vegetables, and are also popular export agricultural products worldwide.
